Ludra’s Scale Sword is a Heroic extend-type longsword that many Templar players start paying attention to around mid-game. On paper, it looks like a balanced weapon with both offense and defense stats, but how does it actually perform in real gameplay? This guide explains how most players use Ludra’s Scale Sword in practice, what kind of content it fits best, and whether it is worth investing resources into.

What Kind of Weapon Is Ludra’s Scale Sword?
Ludra’s Scale Sword is a Heroic-grade longsword with extend range. It has an item level of 98 and requires level 45 to equip. It is designed specifically for the Templar class and fits the usual Templar playstyle: steady damage, strong survivability, and control in close combat.
In general, most Templars look at extend weapons because they offer better reach, which helps with positioning in both PvE and PvP. This weapon follows that pattern. It does not try to be extreme in any single area, but instead provides a mix of attack power, accuracy, block, and utility stats.

How Strong Is the Base Damage in Real Combat?
The base attack range of Ludra’s Scale Sword is 396 to 495. For a level 45 Heroic weapon, this is solid but not exceptional. Most players find that the damage feels consistent rather than burst-heavy.
In PvE, this means you usually clear mobs at a steady pace without big spikes. In PvP, you are not relying on sudden critical bursts, but instead on pressure over time. This fits the Templar role well, especially for players who prefer controlled fights rather than gambling on crits.
Because the weapon is enchantable up to +20, the attack scaling becomes more noticeable once you invest enchantment stones. However, most players stop somewhere between +10 and +15 unless they plan to keep the weapon for a long time.

Why Accuracy and Critical Hit Matter on This Weapon
Ludra’s Scale Sword provides 150 Accuracy and 50 Critical Hit as base stats. These values are not huge, but they help smooth out combat.
In general, accuracy is more important than raw attack for Templars in mid-game. Missing skills feels bad, especially against evasive enemies or players. Most players notice that this sword performs reliably in dungeons and open-world zones where enemies have moderate evasion.
The critical hit value is modest. Usually, players do not build full crit around this weapon. Instead, they rely on skills, buffs, and stones to supplement crit chance if needed.

How Useful Is the Block Stat?
One standout stat on Ludra’s Scale Sword is 200 Block. For a longsword, this is meaningful.
In practice, block matters most in PvE tanking and small-scale PvP. When fighting multiple mobs or holding aggro on elites, block reduces incoming damage in a very noticeable way. Most players who tank dungeons appreciate this extra safety, especially when healers are under pressure.
In PvP, block is more situational. It helps against physical classes but does little against magic-heavy opponents. Still, it fits the Templar’s defensive identity and makes the weapon feel stable rather than fragile.

How Do Magic Stone Slots Affect Customization?
The weapon comes with 5 magic stone slots, which is standard for Heroic weapons of this tier. This gives players flexibility.
Most players usually choose one of the following setups:
  • Accuracy-focused stones for consistent PvE and PvP hits
  • Attack stones for general damage improvement
  • A mix of HP and block for tank-oriented builds

Because the base stats are balanced, the weapon does not force a specific stone setup. This makes it easier to adapt based on your role in a group.

What Does the Soul Imprint Actually Add?
When Ludra’s Scale Sword is soul imprinted, it gains 4 additional abilities from a large pool of possible stats. These include:
  • Might and Precision
  • Extra Attack and Accuracy
  • Critical Hit and Critical Attack
  • HP and MP
  • Combat Speed
  • Status Effect Chance
  • Multi-hit Chance
  • Back Attack
  • Block
  • Weapon Damage Boost

In general, the value of this weapon increases a lot depending on your imprint rolls. Most players aim for combinations like attack, accuracy, combat speed, or weapon damage boost.
Combat speed (13% to 15%) is especially noticeable. It makes skill rotations feel smoother and helps with sustained damage. Weapon damage boost is also strong, as it scales well with enchantment.
Because imprint results vary, two Ludra’s Scale Swords can feel very different in actual use.

Where Can You Get Ludra’s Scale Sword?
The weapon is obtained from Sanctuary. This usually means you are not farming it randomly in the open world. Instead, it comes from structured content tied to that location.
Because it is tradable and storable, some players choose to acquire it indirectly rather than farming it themselves. You may occasionally see players mention options like Buy top-quality Aion 2 items at U4N when discussing how others obtain mid-game weapons, but most players still prefer farming or trading within their own server economy.
